Reflection 💓

This class has grown me as a writer, reader, and a scholar. My writing reached another level in this class. While I was writing, I learned how to integrate my critical thinking skills into my writing. Bringing in context from the real world into your writing shows critical thinking skills and adds depth to the work which is something I was taught in this class. Overall, my vocabulary has increased as a speaker and I can think more in depth about philosophical concepts.
One idea that truly resonated with me is how important it is to be a respectable, welcoming person. Your personality is the main thing that carries you within the real world. Professor Brady taught how important it is to have manners and to be an outgoing person. Another idea that stood is the fact that you should stay true to yourself. Many things in real life and social media can be fake or made up. It is important to stay honest and true to yourself because superficial things will not fulfill you. Professor Brady also taught the importance of making friends and putting yourself out there. This class covered a variety of topics that will forever stick to me and grew me as a person.
In five years, I hope I grow to be an even better writer, thinker, and speaker. I am majoring in Psychology and a main component in my major is writing. I have always enjoyed writing; it is one of my favorite forms of expression. I hope to become even more advanced and grow as a person. Understanding different point of views and critical thinking are vital for my major and a future job in my career field.

  1. It was amazing having you in the class, Alyssa. You should have led this class along with me throughout the semester in my eyes. I wish you the best of luck with your Psychology major (you won't need the luck, you're gonna do great). I also hope you have an amazing summer to relax and spend time with your loved ones. I hope to see you around on campus as well during the Fall!

P.S. - Always hold that letter I gave you, the blogs we all created and the letters I handed out are keepsakes to remember this class, our classmates and most importantly Professor Brady.
